The cutest tiger ever!

Addy's tiger turned out to be adorable....that is when we finally got her in to her costume! She napped from 2 or so to 4:30 and we were planning on meeting Jen and the girls at 5. Addy didn't want to get in her costume; she had a tough time waking up:( So, when gma finally suckered her into it, it was time to go. She wanted nothing to do with getting her whiskers put on which is why she looks more like a baseball player than a tiger in her face. Oh, well.....she did a great job. She would go door to door and say "trick or treat" and then would give them a big "addy roar" and then would hold out her elmo candy bucket. She was a pro by the end of the night. After we were home and it was time for bed, of course....she didn't want to get out of her tiger costume! We had trouble getting her into it and then she didn't want to get out of it....isn't that how it goes? Here she is with a witch (Vanessa) and Sharpay from High School Musical (Olivia).

H1N1 Vaccine....finally

Yes, to my family and friends whom have been asking me about getting the H1N1 shot, I finally waited long enough and got it. I gotta tell ya I do feel better about being immunized being at high risk with pregnancy and all. Addy and I waited in Fremont for about 45 mins today to receive shots of a batch they had just received yesterday. I am thankful to know the right people in Fremont whom could tell me about the vaccine and when they received it. I still can't believe Omaha doesn't have any! I have been calling my OB's and Addy's pediatrician every week, and no updates. I am greatful we haven't been sick yet with Adam seeing cases everyday, my clients constantly cancelling with illness and it's presence at Addy's daycare! So, we all can breathe a bit easier for now!

Pumpkin Carving

We finally had time to carve pumpkins on Monday night. I have to admit, it was a blast. I wasn't feeling the greatest, so thank you daddy for taking the majority of the workload. Addy wasn't excited until we told her we were going to give her pumpkin a face. I didn't think she would dig in the pumpkin with daddy, but she did great! She thought it was great for a bit, and then mommy and Addy went to give her a bath while daddy carved the face in her pumkin. When we got out of the bath, daddy had the lights off with the pumpkin man lit....Addy was terrified! So we turned on the lights again and she talked to him and sat by him (pumpkin man) the rest of the night. She even got up this morning and ate breakfast by pumpkin man. She is a bit hooked to pumpkin man, so I am not quite sure what we are going to do after pumpkin man rots! But until then, she will enjoy his company.

New jammies....

So this weekend, gma and gpa Ulrich came to Omaha to visit. Addy has been in need of warmer jammies, but she just won't give up her favorite pair of kitty jammies that are sleeveless and not winter like at all. So, gma thought she would sweet talk Addy into some new jammies. I guess I was wrong about her not wanting to wear footed jammies. She usually likes NOTHING on her feet; not even her socks/shoes. Grandma found some frog jammies and Dora jammies that she cannot live without! She carries them around like a blanket through the day; that is when I can get them off of her! She wants to wear them to daycare, the store, to eat, etc. We also found these cute bunny slippers that she can't live without either! She loved them so much she ended up going to the Olive Garden this weekend with gma and gpa in her bunny slippers. She got a few weird looks, but anyone with kids or obsessions knows how that goes. I thought I would entertain you with that story....so cute.
We are carving pumpkins tonight. I am not sure how she will do with this. She kind of loves to carry around the pumpkins and play with them. I really am not sure how cutting them open and gutting them will go with her. Only time will tell. Keep checking back for pics of pumpkins!

Addy is......Bilingual?

While Addy was eating breakfast before we headed to Fremont for work/daycare, I was shocked to hear Addy counting to 10 in spanish! I couldn't believe it! It has to be something that they work on in daycare; or she is watching WAY to much Dora the Explorer! How cute.....I gotta tell you, we are impressed.
