Houghbunch travels to Omaha

The houghbunch came to see us this past weekend and it was a blast! Addy was a trooper and kept up with the kids as much as she could. On Friday night when they got in, they came to our home and played for a bit. Saturday, we headed to The Amazing Pizza Factory, which is bigger and better than Chuck E. Cheese! They had a blast playing black light mini golf, bumper cars, going on a few rides and Addy and Reese danced on Dance Dance Revolution. We then headed to our pool for a swim and then to the mall to look around for a bit. We then headed to PF Changs for some yummies and then to retire for the night. Sunday, we met them at the zoo and spent a warm day at the busy zoo. It reminded us of Christmas shopping.....it hasn't been that busy yet this year. It was crazy! But, it was very enjoyable. The Hough's headed home and Addy has still been asking to go find Chase and Josie.....it is hard to explain to her why we can't. We had a blast and look forward to spending more weekends with family.

Addy doing what she does best....

"Playing with kids"........unless she is at daycare. But if mommy is around, she loves to play. On mommy's days off, we like to hit one of the mall play zones for kids. And I figure, we should start developing her strength and agility for gymnastics, right daddy? We have a great time and it gives her experience with kids and sharing. Here are some action shots....

Gma and Gpa Burdorf

Since Adam very rarely has a full weekend off, we have had a lot of visitors, which is great! Two weekends ago, Gma Linda and Gpa Frank came down for the weekend. It is great having family only 1 hour or so away! Addy loves it.....we had a great weekend spoiling Addy with playing outside, going on walks and taking her to playplaces. Thanks guys for watching her Saturday morning for us.....we were in a bind! Oh, and she asked for you when she woke up from her nap, and the next morning after she woke up.

Bye Bye Binky!

No more binky! Addy has successfully trashed the binks! Even at daycare, where she is still trying to adjust. Her first full day of binky freedom was on Thursday. She napped at daycare without it and went to bed that evening without it. Adam and I did storytime and then she asked for it; we said we would go "find" one, and she gave up about 15 mins later. Friday morning, she asked for it when she got up, but we quickly changed the subject and she was fine. Naptime on Friday she didn't even ask as well as bedtime on Friday. So it is official-Addy is binky free!

This "on-call" thing stinks!

Well, here we go again. Addy and mommy all alone until Saturday noonish; I love spending time with Addy, but I also enjoy my husband....most of the time. He started his second time of call this morning at 6AM and will work at the VA hospital until 12PM tomorrow. Being in a new place, I just don't do well through the night without Adam, but I am hoping it gets easier because the call schedule only gets harder. Addy and I are planning on making supper together tonight and maybe some cookies too; we will see how full we are after supper. Then, we may just hang out and snuggle all night. Noon Saturday cannot come fast enough....how I ever did weeks at a time without daddy blows my mind! Well, I am done whining now.....Addy and I are tough and will be fine; but it's just not the same without Bird!

Some pics I couldn't leave out....

Here are some pics I just couldn't resist showing you all.....she is in LOVE with corn on the cob! Of course, the corn in Nebraska doesn't even come close to G'pa's! And I had to get a shot in my Twins hat....we went out to run errands and I had a baseball cap on, so she went out in this hat. Yep, she left it on as long as I had mine on. I am loving this girl like crazy!
