Today, we visited our OB for our 12 week check on Baby Burdorf. It was great to hear a baby's heart beat again. It kind of completes your pregnancy. Not that you don't believe you are pregnant, but to hear your little one's heart beating so strong is unbelievable. It was great to actually have daddy there; bless his heart, after being on call for 30 hrs and not getting sleep. He kept an eye on Addy...she did great. She kept telling the OB to "not hurt mommy".....it was cute. When they pulled the doppler out for the heart beat, Addy was certain that Dr. was going to hurt me. Dr. told her that we were going to "tickle mommy's tummy" and Addy was ok with that. For those whom have heard a heart beat on doppler, you know what I am talking about when I say it sounds like a train.....Addy as soon as she heard it said: "Thomas! Thomas in mommy's tummy" so we had to convince her that mommy is having a baby boy or baby girl, not a Thomas the train. We are still trying to convince her tonight. She wants to go back to "mommy's Dr. and hear the train". It is cute, she has started to say goodnight to Baby Burdorf and giving him/her a kiss. Sure, she likes it now, right? As for the pregnancy, everything is on track and looks healthy. We couldn't ask for anything more!Monday, November 16, 2009

That heartbeat is the best sound in the world! That is so cute that Addy thinks there's a train - what a doll! Glad to hear everything is going well for you all. :)
