Nice Weather

Believe it or not, we all got to escape together to the park a couple weekends ago and I just haven't had time to post the pics. It is great when we get to see daddy, let alone take him to our "hot spots" to play!

Our mini vacation to Des Moines

Yes, its true! We got to escape for a weekend actually! All of us...daddy included. We headed to Des Moines for a mini vacation as a family before baby Aubrey gets here. We thought we would spoil Addy and give her some quality mommy/daddy time. She had a blast. We also headed up to State Center to help celebrate Jenna and Brody's birthdays. Here are some pics from our trip.

State Center Easter Egg Hunt

We had the opportunity to "pick eggs" as Addy calls it this past weekend in State Center when we visited for Jenna and Brody's birthday party. Addy loved almost evey part of it with the exception of seeing the Easter bunny. She is freaked out by the Easter bunny....but is excited to see what the Easter bunny has to bring her, of course.

Addy has been loving this being a new sister thing. I have some of the best training clients in the world! Especially talented ones at that. I had a client make baby "A" a quilt for a baby gift and Addy was jealous....little did she know that Suzi was making one for Addy too! So when the quilt was completed and given to Addy, she wouldn't put it down. Suzi does great work!

Snug as a bug in a rug......

So gma Mary came down last weekend to "babysit" Addy while I taught a boot camp and trained a couple clients and daddy had to work. I cannot tell you how excited Addy was to see her! It makes me feel like we bore her, but I suppose seeing family and being excited is a good thing; better than not.

Gma got here Friday night and took Addy and I to Texas Roadhouse! Yummy.....while there, (we've been working on the potty, but she's been terrified of big people potties) she told me, out of the blue, that she had to go potty. We went with it. She pee peed in a big potty and continued to do it in a big potty all weekend when we were out and about! I couldn't believe it!

Anyway, all the shopping we did really wore my peanut out. I guess she just isn't ready to be shopping all day yet because these pics are her sleeping after shopping. She fell asleep in the car on the way home. Daddy had a tough time too after being on call all night. We got pics of him too but an concerned my marriage would be on the rocks if I would post those.

New Potty Update

Addy, after our short regression with tummy flu, is now back in pull-ups! Today, our first day back to our normal routine, kept her pull-up dry ALL DAY! Even through naptime! Hopefully tomorrow at daycare, we can keep up with it. What a big girl!

28 week appt.....check!

I am happy to announce that our week 28 appointment was a success! Things are going well and Baby Burdorf "A" is doing well. In fact, she moved all over the place today and it was tough for Dr. Bishop to keep her still for a heart rate. I did have to get a blood draw and shot today for my glucose tolerance and rhogam shot. All of this, of course, with daddy being gone and just Addy and I. She didn't like the nurse continuing to stick needles into mommy, but we survived. Adam is in his cardiology rotation right now, which is what he loves to do, but we haven't seen much of him.
Baby Burdorf "A" has been moving all over the place, and this is probably my favorite part about pregnancy; unless it is all night which was the case this weekend. I had fajitas, and I think she did the mexican hat dance all night long! When Addy was asked today if she was ready for her baby sister to come out, she said "not yet doctor....not yet." It was pretty cute.....the doctor looked at me with a look like what are you going to do to change this, and I told her she has been asking me everyday when "A" will come out. And I keep telling her, not yet...she needs to cook a little longer so I am sure she got that from me. I am having a hard time believing that in less than 12 weeks, we will have a new baby again. I am catching up on my newborn books just to refresh feeding, sleeping, etc. We are super excited now and can't believe we start going to the OB every 2 weeks now. It will be less than 79 days, but who is counting?
