A Wii-kend at Addy's

It was all competition at Addy's this weekend: between Wii tournaments and Skip-Bo, we had our share of family bonding over a little competiton.

Adam and Frank boxing....
I gotta tell ya, Frank did a great job!
Frank showing off his form...

And Linda showing off her form.....

Adam pretending to know what he's doing....

I can't wait to see the new Wii in your basement guys! Just kidding....but you would have a lot of room down there! Lots of competition!

Valentines with Gma & Gpa B

For Valentine's Day, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Frank traveled to Armstrong and spent the weekend with us. It was great to see them and they were greatful to see us....and Addy. We had a wonderful time and couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's Day. There was a lot of playing and kisses as you can see below:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

For daddy's birthday, Gma and Gpa kept Addy and we attended the Algona Clinic Christmas party (Adam is currently rotating there and we were fortunate enough to be invited) last night. Addy did a great job for her babysitters; she was in bed at 7:45 pm and slept until 8:15 am this morning. We still try and have a good time without Addy, but there was a 4 1/2 month old there named Abby and we couldn't help thinking about her. Happy Birthday Daddy....We love you lots!

Curls?

Well, we are still trying to figure it out....Addy has, all of the sudden, a head full of curls? Adam and I both have naturally "wavy" hair, but we wouldn't consider it curly. Don't get me wrong...I love them like crazy! Maybe two wavies make a curly? Here are some pics to prove our story.

Princess for a day....

Yeah, right! Princess always....this girl is spoiled. Since we had to miss out on the family vacation to Disney, Cousin Reese was nice enough to let Addy try on her Cinderella dress. Look out daddy, you have a princess on your hands! And thanks Aunt Josie for the pics...

No worries....we are still here

Hi again, remember us? The Burdorf's?

Yep, it has been a little crazy around here with Adam completing his interviews for residency and myself keeping busy with two jobs! I thought I would give everyone a heads up to where we stand in life:

1. Adam now has all of his requirements met for his residency (Thanks Dr. Stille).....we can now get matched to see where we will be heading this summer.

2. Adam's top choices for residency are: Des Moines, Iowa City (booooo), Milwaukee and Kansas City. He had great interviews at all of them and loved every city, so it will be interesting in March to find out.

3. I have been busy teaching two boot camps and personal training at Anytime Fitness. I enjoy the busy pace of the career; before you know it, my day is over. A lot of my clients, however, are on/getting ready for vacations; a bit jealous!

4. Fairmont gymnastics (high school) had our first win last Friday! All of our meets this season have been sooooo close; but when you fall on the beam (half a point) it really separates teams. We are looking better and more consistent. They are working their tails off and should get another win tonight at home!

5. With that in mind, our team has improved over 12 points this season. ( I know some of you have no idea what I am talking about, but know that it is quite the improvement)

6. Addy is growing like a weed. She is working on 3 teeth right now, so is grumpy at times; but still sleeping uninterrupted through the night! (knock on wood)

7. Addy is sprinting! Yes, sprinting......and moves quickly. It is obvious she doesn't have her daddy's speed! Ha Ha.... (love you daddy)

8. Adam is rotating right now in Algona with Dr. Lampe and enjoying every minute of it. He will be there until the end of February and then has one more rotation to fulfill before graduation in May. He is thinking that it will be close so he doesn't have to leave for weeks at a time anymore! Yeah......

9. I have been busy with some other projects too....I know, excuses. But I am trying to put together a "baby's first year" book for Addison. That has been keeping me busy as well.

10. Pewwwww! Addy just dropped the bomb......better run :) Love you all!

Merry Christmas.....Finally

Is it bad if it is the 5th of January and I am just getting around to Christmas pictures? Wow, what a crazy couple weeks/months we have had! I cannot believe it is 2009! Mandy, I do have some resolutions; I just didn't get the chance to read your post until tonight. I will have to get back to you on which ones I will make "official" resolutions!
Christmas was a success. Addy had a great time catching up with family and friends and even getting some great gifts along the way! Adam and I on the other hand again cherished being around our families and not judging the success of our Christmas on what we received as gifts. Isn't it something how you grow up, you truly do appreciate the meaning of Christmas!

Enjoy some of our pictures captured over the holiday season.
