Can't take Addy with? What?

So, as many of you know, I am KINDA attached to Miss Addison. I love my schedule for work; being able to set your own hours is nice. I spend every morning with Addy. I get to wake up with her, eat breakfast with her, do laundry with her, etc. I couldn't imagine not seeing her every morning.

With that being said, our gymnastics season for the high school was almost complete. Our team didn't win the section 3A meet to qualify for state, but the girl that I have been working hard with did qualify for 2 events: vault and uneven bars. Congrats to Linnea, she does work hard.....however, I found out that I would have to travel to the cities for 3 days. I would not be able to take Addison; words I never thought I would hear.

You would all be proud...I made it two nights without her! It wasn't good, but I made it. I told Linnea that there is probably only one thing that would take me away from Addy for a couple days.....gymnastics!

Addy's New Word Update!

Addy is talking like crazy these days. We are to the point where you have to watch what you say when she is around!
Addy's newest addition to her vocabulary has been "down" and "stay". You would think that these are innocent, right? It is all in how you use them. Her "down" she says because when she climbs her toys or stairs, she now tells herself "down" before we do. I guess this is a good thing and a bad thing? She knows she is supposed to get down, but uses her "Addy"tude while telling us she needs to get down.
Another new word comes from her big cousin Olivia. They were playing blocks the other day at daycare, and Addy kept wanting to knock down Livi's blocks. Livi would pick Addy up, move her away from the blocks, and tells her to "stay" while pointing and being firm. Well, Addy learned what it meant and now tells us to "stay". She catches on so quickly!

Ranking Deadline....

Where will we be in July? Nobody knows yet.....
Adam has officially 4 days left to rank his top choices for residency. It looks as though we will be heading to either Iowa Methodist in Des Moines, University of Nebraska in Omaha, or University of Iowa in Iowa City. It has been an extremely tough decision for him to make; I guess we are still waiting on a decision now from him. His deadline is the 25th of February, this coming Wednesday! We will know in almost one month (March 23rd I think) where we will be heading in June/July.

A Wii-kend at Addy's

It was all competition at Addy's this weekend: between Wii tournaments and Skip-Bo, we had our share of family bonding over a little competiton.

Adam and Frank boxing....
I gotta tell ya, Frank did a great job!
Frank showing off his form...

And Linda showing off her form.....

Adam pretending to know what he's doing....

I can't wait to see the new Wii in your basement guys! Just kidding....but you would have a lot of room down there! Lots of competition!

Valentines with Gma & Gpa B

For Valentine's Day, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Frank traveled to Armstrong and spent the weekend with us. It was great to see them and they were greatful to see us....and Addy. We had a wonderful time and couldn't have asked for a better Valentine's Day. There was a lot of playing and kisses as you can see below:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!

For daddy's birthday, Gma and Gpa kept Addy and we attended the Algona Clinic Christmas party (Adam is currently rotating there and we were fortunate enough to be invited) last night. Addy did a great job for her babysitters; she was in bed at 7:45 pm and slept until 8:15 am this morning. We still try and have a good time without Addy, but there was a 4 1/2 month old there named Abby and we couldn't help thinking about her. Happy Birthday Daddy....We love you lots!

Curls?

Well, we are still trying to figure it out....Addy has, all of the sudden, a head full of curls? Adam and I both have naturally "wavy" hair, but we wouldn't consider it curly. Don't get me wrong...I love them like crazy! Maybe two wavies make a curly? Here are some pics to prove our story.
